A great headshot communicates clarity, professionalism, and presence. It says, “I take myself seriously. I belong here.” That energy is felt long before a handshake or a conversation ever happens.

To ensure a polished and professional result, please follow these simple recommendations:

• Wear solid, non-busy colors that complement your skin tone.

• No neon colors or overly bright shades that reflect.

• An added layer (blazer, jacket, cardigan, etc.) is encouraged for versatility; it can easily be removed or added for different looks.

• A button down is preferred over polos we can make a button down look relaxed by rolling the sleeves.

• Pockets are great when available (whether in a dress or pants, we cannot stress this enough!). They provide natural hand placement and help create relaxed, confident posing.

• Choose clothing that is well-fitting (clothing that is not too loose yet not too tight allows us the choice to give a little bit more of a contour to your body if you choose).

• Please arrive well-groomed. Hair should be styled as you normally wear it professionally. Nails should be clean and presentable. Clothing should be pressed and free of wrinkles. Wrinkles, lint, and grooming details are often more visible on camera than in person and can distract from an otherwise polished, professional image.
